Easter Celebrations: Desserts

Easter with his family was lovely. Our gathering was short four people so there was even more food than needed, which is pretty typical at most family gatherings.

As I posted yesterday, I made two desserts, a chocolate cream pie and a frozen strawberry loaf. Both looked lovely and were very well received.

However, without those four extra people, three of them being teenagers (two of them boys), we have a lot of dessert left; half of the chocolate pie and about a third of the loaf. Thankfully, the loaf will keep in the freezer, we can probably eat some of the pie (I know I can give more to his dad when he’s over). My absolute favorite part of the night: his mom asked for the recipe for the Strawberry Whipped Sensation. I feel more confident about bringing desserts again in the future now (thank goodness).
